Documents
School Committee meeting dockets, minutes, and other info can be also be found via the Document library main index, or by clicking below.  Most documents have a date identifier preceding the file name, coded as YYMMDD, so that they list chronologically.
Members
The Newton School Committee consists of nine voting members: one elected (citywide) from each of Newton's eight wards, and the Mayor as an ex-officio member.   The Superintendent of Schools sits at the School Committee meeting table but is not a member of the Committee and has no vote.  Four non-voting student representatives, two from each high school, take turns attending regular meetings and are encouraged to participate in discussions.
