Spring 2002

All exchange students were enrolled in Chinese language courses at their high schools. In preparation for their semester in Beijing, the group spent six weeks together in the summer of 2001 studying Chinese in an intensive Chinese language institute taught by Ms. Lan Lan Sheng, teacher at NSHS. They then continued to study Chinese with Ms. Jie Gao in the winter of 2001.

The group arrived in China on Monday, February 4, 2002 — just in time to celebrate the Chinese New Year!
