Administrative Policy Regarding Field Trips

  1. Any teacher/principal/school planning an out-of-state field trip, or a field trip that potentially involves travel planned between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m., must submit to the Superintendent and the Associate Superintendent a written itinerary for said trip, at least two weeks in advance of the scheduled departure date. The Superintendent and Associate Superintendent will rule jointly, given world conditions and travel advisories, as to whether the trip will be allowed to proceed as planned.  No trip may proceed without such approval attained in advance.
  2. The Superintendent reserves the right to cancel any scheduled field trip (in-state or out-of-state), at any time prior to the scheduled departure, regardless of destination or travel plans, depending upon world conditions and travel advisories.
