Message from the Superintendent

The LTA (Life-Threatening Allergy) Committee will present draft guidelines concerning life-threatening allergies to the School Committee for its consideration. This report is a docketed for the School Committee's regular meeting on February 23, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. in the Education Center at 100 Walnut St.
The LTA Committee, composed of school administrators, members of Newton's Public Health Department, parents, and community members has been meeting for the past few months. The guidelines to be presented are based on research and discussion. They will be posted on the Newton Public Schools website immediately following the February 23 meeting. The LTA Committee is also planning an evening meeting for parents and teachers on life-threatening allergies in the spring.
